Apt Pupil - Movie Synopsis & Plot
Todd Bowden is a 16-year old senior who is at the top of his class... until he discovers a horrifying secret. After studying the Holocaust in school, he is intrigued and searches for more information. In doing so, he realizes that a man living nearby is actually Nazi war criminal Kurt Dussander, wanted for the murder of the Jews.
But instead of turning him in, Todd goes to Dussander with a deal. In exchange for his silence, Dussander will tell Todd the stories that the school teachers can't tell him. He will tell Todd about the horrors of the war and how he massacred the Jews. He will do whatever Todd tells him.
But everything comes at the price. As Todd almost becomes obsessed with the aging Nazi, Dussander is turning the tables. And very soon after Todd realizes that he is in just as deep as the Nazi, and anything either of them does will affect each other. But there is another price to pay. As Dussander returns to his past, a deadly characteristic rises in him. He is slowly becoming more viscous and his urge to kill is becoming greater. And things are changing in Todd, too... He is getting tendancies to kill.
