Maximum Risk Movie Synopsis & Plot
Alain Moreau was stunned by the sight he saw... a man, murdered, lay in the back of an ambulance. The man looked identical to Alain. It turns out that the man is not Alain, but his unknown twin brother, Mikhail, who had been living in New York for most of his life. Alain realizes that it is his duty to learn who his brother was, and, if he gets the chance, enact revenge on those who killed him.
Virtually becoming Mikhail, Alain travels to the deadly underworld of New York where he begins to unravel the truth of his brother, and those who killed him. He realizes that his brother was mixed up in a lot of bad stuff, caught in the middle between the Russian Mafia and the FBI. The only person who can help him is Mikhail's sexy girlfriend, who, while playing an emotional role in his life, also could lead him to Mikhail's killers and the truth.
Unfortunately, just like his brother, he has been caught in the middle, torn between and a persistent Russian mob and corrupt FBI Agents. Alain must do everything he possibly can to escape the fate of his brother and save his girlfriend, even if it means giving in to the enemy's wishes.
MOVIE REVIEW
Jean-Claude Van Damme: one of those stars that sells movies, is well known, but can't deliver a convincing role or be in a fun movie. The one exception is Timecop, which had the story, the acting, and the action, all the while maintaining what sold Van Damme movies: his fighting. Van Damme is not that great of actor, but he's a good fighter, and every movie he's in puts people to the test: Will the fun fighting style shadow the bad acting, or will the bad acting shadow the fighting?Read our Maximum Risk movie review »
