There's Something About Mary - Movie Synopsis & Plot
13 years ago, Ted was in his senior year of high school. None of his friends believed him when he said that Mary Jensen, the hottest girl in school, had asked him to the prom. It was going to be the greatest day of his life... Until he caught his family jewels in his zipper.
Present day, Ted has changed his look but not much else. He has no wife, no kids, no upstanding career. But he does still have a crush on Mary.
Deciding it wouldn't hurt, he hires a private investigator, Pat Healy, to go down to Miami and find out where Mary lives and how's she doing. Healy does but in the process falls in love with Mary himself. So, he tells Ted a few, small lies to keep him from meeting her, but, unfortunately for Healy, Ted still insists on going down there.
By the time Ted does get to Florida, after being arrested for sexual activities and murdering a man, Healy has already pushed himself into Mary's life (though he has lied to do so) and is well on his way to winning her heart. And then there's Warren, the supposed crippled architect. And Dom, the shoe-loving not. And Tucker. And of course Ted. Because, there's just something about Mary.
